As we wandered around Tokyo seeking the sakura we came across the Imperial palace and the gardens, in bloom.
The blooming sakura stand out among the greenery.

I love the way that people in Tokyo make the most of their green space. Small areas (there is not such thing as a North American backyard in Tokyo – at least where we are) brimming with flowers, vines and plants.
