I found out today that Pampas Grass will not grow in our region. How did I find out? From our amazing local gardening center (they really are fantastic).
Me: Do you have Pampas Grass?Him: You mean like the grasses at the end of the driveway on The Golden Girls?Me: (laughing) Did you just reference the Golden Girls?Him: People always come in and ask for the grass from the end of the driveway of the Golden Girls (smiling)Me: OK, sure.Him: No, it does not live in our region. Won’t make it, only in Niagara.
Blanch, Rose and Sophia would be so disappointed.
